Sir James Douglas, 5th of Drumlanrig

Sir James Douglas, 5th of Drumlanrig, was born circa 1465 to Sir William Douglas, 4th of Drumlanrig, and Elizabeth Crichton. He would marry Janet Scott, daughter of Sir David Scott, 1st of Branxholme and Buccleuch. Together, the couple would have issue:
a) Agnes Douglas
b) Sir William Douglas, 6th of Drumlanrig (c. 1482 - 9/9/1513)
The name Agnes is significant as it persists within the Douglas family for many generations. Sir James would pass away in 1498.
